Itinerary
Guided meditation, journaling and mindful movement to cultivate presence and reflection. Time for solitude or community. Daily rhythm tuned to nature's pace, walking in the forest, listening to birds, watching bear and whale. See humpback and orca in the wild. Creative cultural events like Tlingit Dance demonstrations, totem carving and outdoor salmon bakes. Sound healing and meditation sessions to relax and open awareness.
What's Included
All inclusive retreat includes a shared or single space in the lodge. Access to the kitchen, bathrooms and yard at the lodge. Fire pit open for relaxing and connecting. Locally sourced food including salmon, halibut and dungeness crab. Local produce grown in the hydroponic greenhouse in town. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate can be enjoyed anytime, best time is first thing on the morning on the deck with a view. Transportation from airport or ferry depot and transportation around the island is included.
What's Not Included
Transportation to and from Hoonah. Emergency trip insurance, recommended since it is on an island. No alcohol or smoking.
Food (if applicable)
Meals at the retreat are three farm to table dishes each day. Breakfast will be your choice of eggs, waffles, smoothies, yogurt, bagels or sourdough toast. Lunches will include salads, local crab dishes, cheeses and sandwiches. Dinners will may be a variety of salmon, halibut and crab dishes with vegetables and salads. Desserts may be berry cobbler from the berries you pick that day.
How to get there (if applicable)
Fly into Juneau and take a seaplane or ferry to Hoonah. Seaplane comes to Hoonah four times a day. The ferry comes on Mondays and Thursdays.
