What makes this property lovable!
What makes Lakki Village truly lovable isn’t just the architecture; it’s the rare feeling of being part of a living Greek neighborhood right on the edge of the water. Here is the "soul" of the property that makes guests and retreat leaders fall in love with it: The "Village within a Village" Vibe Unlike a sterile, modern hotel with long corridors, Lakki is built with small paths, hidden courtyards, and gardens. It feels like you live in a traditional Amorgian community. You aren't "staying at a resort"; you are "living in the village." The Sound of the Shoreline Because the property sits directly on the sand, you have a 24/7 sensory experience. There is something deeply healing about finishing a yoga session in the Shala and being able to walk—barefoot and in silence—directly into the sea in less than thirty seconds. The "Garden-to-Table" Heart The fact that your salad and vegetables likely came from the family’s own organic garden on-site adds a layer of love you can taste. Guests love seeing the staff pick fresh herbs or lemons that end up on their plates an hour later. It feels honest and grounded. Authentic "Filoxenia" (Hospitality) As a family-run property, there is a lack of "corporate" coldness. The staff knows the island’s secrets, the best mountain trails, and the history of the monastery. You feel looked after by people who actually love the land they are standing on. The "Big Blue" Energy of Aegiali Amorgos has a very specific, high-vibration energy (made famous by the movie The Big Blue). Lakki Village sits in the "hug" of the Aegiali mountains. Watching the sunset turn the high cliffs orange while sitting by the pool or on your balcony is a "pinch-me" moment that stays with people long after they leave. In a world of complicated luxury, Lakki is lovable because it is effortless. You don't need a car, you don't need shoes half the time, and everything you need—a great meal, a deep sleep, and a beautiful practice space—is all within a two-minute walk. In short: It’s the kind of place where you arrive as a tourist but leave feeling like a local.

Any special instructions for the retreat guests to be aware of?
Water Conservation: Amorgos is a beautiful but dry island. We kindly ask guests to be mindful of water usage. Tap Water: Like most Greek islands, the tap water is fine for showering and brushing teeth, but we recommend drinking filtered or bottled water, which is available at our restaurant. Port Transfers: Amorgos has two ports (Aegiali and Katapola). Aegiali is our local port, just 2 minutes away. If your ferry arrives in Katapola, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance so we can help coordinate your transfer (approx. 30-40 minute drive).
