Designed for connection, they feature open-plan architecture, local craftsmanship, and cozy fireplaces for winter evenings — consciously free of TVs to encourage mindfulness. The Experience: Between sessions, guests can unwind in our dry sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, or swim in our pool and marble quarry lake. We cultivate a farm-to-table philosophy with 80% of produce coming from our own gardens

What parts of the property are accessible to retreat guests?

Guests are invited to treat Calipo as their own sanctuary. You have full access to our wellness facilities, including the 120m² sunlit indoor yoga studio, the outdoor wooden practice deck, and our spa area (dry sauna, Turkish bath, and jacuzzi). Nature lovers can wander through our agroforest and organic vegetable gardens, swim in the main pool, or enjoy a wild dip in our unique natural lake nestled within a marble quarry.

Times of contact in case of any issues?

Our team is dedicated to making your experience seamless. We are available at the reception daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM to assist with any requests. For peace of mind, a 24​/​7 emergency contact number is provided to the retreat leader upon arrival for any urgent matters outside of reception hours.

Any special instructions for the retreat guests to be aware of?

To encourage deep connection and mindfulness, our apartments are intentionally free of TVs and landline phones—we invite you to embrace this digital detox. As we are located in the heart of nature, we recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes to explore the grounds. For winter retreats, pack layers to enjoy our cozy fireplaces and the crisp, starry nights of the Alqueva Dark Sky Reserve. A rental car is recommended if you wish to explore the historic villages nearby (Estremoz, Évora).

Other Cancellation Policy (refer this if "Other" is chosen in Cancellation & Refund Policy section)

Reservation & Payment: A 30% deposit is required to confirm the booking. The remaining 70% must be paid up to 7 days before check-in. A Rooming List must be sent at least 15 days prior to arrival. Cancellation Terms: Cancellations of up to 50% of the number of rooms are accepted free of charge up to 1 month before check-in. After this date (less than 1 month), the cancellation fee is equivalent to the total daily rate.
