Hello, I'm Heidi L..
"Casa Alvarado" was born from a moment of clarity that changed my life. When I first walked into the villa now known as Casa Alvarado, perched above the Sea of Cortez in Punta Pescadero, Baja California Sur, I felt something immediate and unmistakable. It wasn’t just the view or the land. It was a deep sense of belonging. I knew this place was calling me to create something more. With the encouragement of my twin sons, Jessy and Jake, I took a leap that still surprises me. I sold nearly everything I owned to bring this vision to life. What began as a personal retreat soon evolved into something much larger. Casa Alvarado became a private beachfront sanctuary designed for rest, reconnection, creativity, and meaningful gathering. Although I come from a background in real estate in Reno, Nevada, the world of vacation rentals and retreats was new to me. With support from my sons and a small circle of trusted partners, I slowly and intentionally shaped Casa Alvarado into what it is today. The villa now hosts wellness retreats, artist residencies, intimate weddings, family reunions, and small group gatherings along the East Cape of Baja. As an artist, I’ve infused the property with my own creative work and spirit. A hand-painted mural by the pool depicts a baby sea turtle I once helped guide to the ocean on the beach below. Throughout the villa, my original paintings reflect the colors, light, and rhythm of the Sea of Cortez. Over time, guests have felt inspired to create here as well. Many have left behind pieces of their own art, forming a quiet, growing creative legacy within the space. One of my greatest joys is seeing how guests connect to this place and to one another. Casa Alvarado continues to evolve through the people who pass through it, and I love that it carries their stories alongside mine. I remain closely involved in every guest experience, from curating a detailed local guide to working with trusted local chefs, wellness practitioners, and artisans. Every detail is intentional. Casa Alvarado isn’t just a home to me. It’s a living expression of my journey, and an open invitation for others to slow down, reconnect, and write a chapter of their own here. I look forward to welcoming you and your guests for an unforgettable stay, time and time again. From me to you, Heidi
