Huni Yawa: Huni Kuin & Yawanawá Cultural Retreat in Tulum

Join YURA for four days of connection, music, cultural exchange, and time in nature with Dua Ninawa Huni Kuin and Wãnu Yawanawá in Tulum, Mexico. Huni Yawa brings together representatives of two Indigenous peoples of the Brazilian Amazon: the Huni Kuin and the Yawanawá. Through songs, shared stories, ceremonial encounters, and moments of listening, participants are invited to meet these living traditions through direct human connection. This gathering offers space to slow down, deepen your relationship with music and nature, and share meaningful time in a small group. Our approach centers on respect for the people sharing their knowledge, care for participants, and reciprocity with the communities involved. The retreat is limited to 15 participants. Participation is subject to an application and a conversation with the organizing team to assess suitability and discuss preparation.
