8 Day Beachfront Yoga & Ayurvedic Retreat, Goa
The Ayurveda method of healing and well-being is one of the world's oldest holistic systems, dating back more than 3,000 years here in India. Incorporated in the Atharva Veda, the last of the four Vedas it is based on the idea of balance in our bodily system. Ayurveda works on the basis that every person is made of five basic elements found in the universe: space, air, fire, water, and earth.

How to get there (if applicable)
An idyllic tropical tourist destination is expected to boast exquisite beaches, charming culture, and a vast variety of things to do. With wonderful weather for most of the year, Goa - India’s smallest state, fits the bill quite perfectly. The pearl on India’s western coast, part of a region called the Konkan, has beckoned travelers and adventurers for centuries, each one undoubtedly enthralled by its stunning sunrises and sunsets, and jaw-dropping natural beauty. Bordered by the states of Maharashtra in the north, Karnataka to the east and south, and the shimmering Arabian Sea to the west, it still exhibits the vestiges left by Portuguese colonisers who first visited in the 15th century. For 450 years, they stayed, making Goa one of the world’s longest-held colonies before India took over in 1961. The strong influence they had in this tiny state has given birth to a unique culture of its own. It’s natural beauty and intriguing culture attract hundreds of thousands of visitors from around India and the world each year. From its ancient temples and world heritage architecture - among which lies one of Asia’s largest Christian pilgrimage sites of the Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa - to gorgeous beaches and the global biodiversity hotspot in the Western Ghats, Goa is distinctive in almost every way. For those with a penchant for life in the fast lane, you can let your hair down at some of the most popular nightclubs and acclaimed restaurants in India set amid this gorgeous paradise. To escape the bustle, there are peaceful beaches, eco-resorts, forested getaways, and adventure sports in naturally beautiful surroundings, making it the perfect location for yogis and hipsters alike. As a holiday destination, Goa is renowned for its susegad or laid-back pace that allows you the time to soak in all of its charming facets. Take the chance to indulge in its unique and flavorful cuisine, idyllic tropical weather, and extraordinary beachside, and hinterland beauty, alongside its affable and sociable people. We welcome you to Goa!
